Planning a wedding?  Going to a special event?  Buying your daughter a prom dress? Well I don’t know about you but I want something a little nicer than department store dresses but for a reasonable price. I also don’t want to have to drive around town for 3 days to find what I want. Lets start with bridesmaid dresses and the hassle they can be.

Ever plan a wedding with one bridesmaid across the county and one two states away and one in…well you get the point.  Now what is the most frustrating part?  Well getting the dresses for the girls all over the states.  There’s always David’s Bridal but they aren’t always in your city or in theirs, their sizes are weird, they take 8-16 weeks to get in, and there is not much selection that a modern girl wants to wear.  I can attest to this personally.  Recently I was a bridesmaid and found out I was pregnant right after I ordered the dress from David’s.  After the 3 month wait to get the dress it ended up not fitting of course.  I ended up to going through 3 dresses and $150 in alterations to get the right size, at the end I looked like I was wearing and blue chiffon potato sack.  Not only was it not worth it as a bridesmaid but the bride wanted us to get something we’d wear again and I’ll tell you the only place I’d ever wear this dress again would be an ugly prom dress party.  Well if the bride had wanted to save herself and this bridesmaid money, time, and self esteem on the wedding day she’d have gone to tjformal.  They even have maternity bridesmaid dresses which David’s did not.  You can buy dresses that will flatter any body type you are needing. They have size charts for the manufacturers so you can get the right size the first time.  Since you can buy closer to the actual date the problem I ran into would not happen because I’d have had to buy the dress 4 months in advance. You can find some of the top designers.  It’s all online so you can get the bridesmaid’s input or just show them the dress before they buy.  Their sizes don’t run weird.  Well all together this is a much easier and fun alternative.  But most importantly the girls can look good up there with these modern/designer styles. Of course if you are a mean bride who wants everyone else to look like a clown and pay their whole Christmas budget for a dress they’ll never wear again then by all means, go to David’s Bridal.

Ok What about prom and special events?  You ever drive to 20 different stores with a teenage girl trying to find the right dress that mother can agree on?  Or even a picky teenager can decide on?  Save yourself the gas, headache, and fight.  Or perhaps the dress is for yourself. for a special occasion.  There is nothing I hate more than not being able to find what I want after a few days spent at the mall or finding what I want but not in my size.  I’d never have that problem if I shopped online.  I know what will fit my body type well and what will look terrible.  I can browse through these dresses and find the type, color, size and even designer that I want without the annoying trip to the mall.  The other great thing is I can find designers I’d never be able to find in my small town.
