Finding great deals, so you don't have to
According to a recent web poll it would appear that a lot of people would actually not take something into the police station and that they would take the item or money for themselves and not let anyone know of the discovery. Why on Earth Is This? The real question to ask here is are there more criminals out there or do people just not realise that this is stealing?
Well the thing is, if it is something like cash then it is often understandable why people would not take it to the police station because let’s face it, everyone could do with a bit of extra money right? Although if you spot a bit of cash on the floor it would be really nice if you could keep it, it often isnt the best thing to do?
Well this could all be fine unless it is a large amount of money. This is when you need to take it to the police station right away rather than keep it for yourself. What is supposed to happen if this money is for a big family that without it could struggle to pay of all of thier bills and buy food. Just have a think about it, do not just walk off with it. Think about it this way, would you care about getting £10 back if you lost it, not likely. How about £150? If this is a yes then you should take the money back straight away.
Jewellery is something entirely different and should be taken to be handed in straight way and there is a major reason for this and it is that jewellery can be very precious to people indeed as jewellery could have been handed down for years, could be a wedding ring or even a gift from a late relative but it doesn’t matter if it is amethyst jewellery, amber jewellery or even moonstone jewellery you should always return it.
Of course for the cash, that is up to you.
